Hello! My name is Kimberly Lawson, and this is currently my second year as the high school mathematics teacher at Moulton-Udell Community Schools in Moulton, Iowa.
I graduated from Moulton-Udell High School in 2005 and am very proud to now be on staff at the Home of the Eagles!
In the summer of 2006, I graduated from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa with an Associates of Arts Degree, as well as an Assosciates of Sciences Degree.
I then went on to study elementary education through Graceland University. This program was comprised of a series of night classes, so I was able to work full-time as a special education aide in preschool through first grades at M-U for a year and a half while attending these night classes. I graduated from Graceland in May 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education and a K-8 Reading endorsement.
Having a strong background in mathematics allowed me to obtain a Class B license in Secondary Mathematics Education and get my current job at Moulton-Udell. I am now enrolled in math and computer programming classes to get my full license in this area.
At this time I teach seven different high school math classes: Math Concepts, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Math 4, and Practical Math. I was also the 2009 assistant varsity softball coach, and I am the sponsor of the junior class and of a student volunteer organization called P.R.I.D.E. (People who Respect Individuals, their Dreams, and the Environment).
